Fialka Ruby

Born 2/21/06, 11:09 pm
8 lbs., 15 oz., 22 inches

Fialka means "violet" in Czech. Fi's last name and paternal lineage are Czech.
Ruby is Fi's maternal great grandmother.

Dad doing well, mom not so well but lots better after polishing off the better part of a Zingerman's Perky Pecan Pie.

Many, many thanks to online and in-the-flesh friends for interest, support, and kind words. Hope to have more pics soon.

Must sleep first.

Oh, K, I'm so happy for you! I know you had a tough time but I promise you'll feel better soon and Fialka Ruby is absolutely gorgeous!

Wishing you a peaceful recovery and much bonding and joy with your baby. Also know that just because G can't nurse her doesn't mean he can't bond. Dads bond with their babies perfectly well, and I know for a fact that the first girl pretty much takes over Daddy's existence. He must be so happy.

You kick ass!
I think there needs to be some kind of female equivalent of the "duuude!" high fivin' congratulations sort of thing for baby birthing. So from me you get a "Way to go!" and "Excellent!"
as well as all of my warmest sweet wishes.

What a colourful name. Congrats, eat well, sleep well, and be strong. None of it lasts for long. She'll be walking before you know it, so enjoy that although she depends on you for every last thing, and refuses to listen to reason or explain her feelings in words, at least she stays where you put her. I mean, enjoy your bundle of joy.
